How to Connect WhatsApp Messaging Powered by Interakt in RevenueGrowth360

If you want RevenueGrowth360 to send invoice updates, payment confirmations, and overdue reminders on WhatsApp, the setup starts from Settings -> Integrations -> WhatsApp and runs through Interakt.

The flow is simple once you know the order:

  2. create and approve the required templates in Interakt
  3. provision and verify those templates in RevenueGrowth360
  4. turn on the automated events you want to use

Before you start

Keep these items ready before opening the integration page:

  • access to your RevenueGrowth360 organization settings
  • access to your Interakt workspace
  • the Secret Key from Interakt -> Settings -> Developer Settings
  • an Interakt plan with Public API access available

You will also need to create three WhatsApp templates in Interakt. RevenueGrowth360 expects those templates to use the exact names and variable order shown in the WhatsApp settings page.

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp integration page

In RevenueGrowth360, go to:

Settings -> Integrations -> WhatsApp

This page gives you a setup checklist, the Interakt connection form, the template drafts, and the event toggles in one place.

Step 2: Copy your Interakt Secret Key and connect

On the connection card, RevenueGrowth360 asks for your Interakt API key. In practice, this is the Secret Key from Interakt Developer Settings.

Here is the best way to do it:

  1. open Interakt -> Settings -> Developer Settings
  2. copy the Secret Key
  3. paste it into Interakt API key
  4. click Test connection
  5. if the test succeeds, click Connect

Important details:

  • paste the key exactly as copied
  • do not add Basic manually
  • remove accidental spaces or line breaks if they were copied with the key

Step 3: Create the three required templates in Interakt

After Interakt is connected, RevenueGrowth360 still will not send messages until the required templates exist in Interakt and are approved.

Create these templates exactly:

  • rg_invoice_published
  • rg_payment_received
  • rg_payment_overdue

For each template:

  • use the Utility category
  • use English as the language
  • keep the exact placeholder sequence shown in RevenueGrowth360
  • do not add extra variables
  • do not rename the template

RevenueGrowth360 includes the draft bodies and the placeholder mapping inside the same WhatsApp settings page, so your team can copy them directly into Interakt.

Step 4: Provision and verify the approved templates

Once the templates are created in Interakt and approved by Meta, go back to RevenueGrowth360 and finish the sync.

Use these actions on the connection card:

  • Provision templates
  • Verify setup

What happens here:

  • RevenueGrowth360 checks whether the expected template names exist
  • it maps each approved template to the right event
  • the overall template status moves from pending or partial to ready

If the status does not become ready, the usual reasons are:

  • the template is still waiting for Meta approval
  • the template name does not match exactly
  • the language or category was created differently in Interakt

Step 5: Turn on the automated events

After the templates are ready, you can enable the events you want RevenueGrowth360 to send automatically.

The WhatsApp page currently supports:

  • Invoice published
  • Payment received
  • Payment overdue reminders

Each event has its own toggle. Switch on only the events you want active for your organization.

What each event does

Invoice published

Sends a WhatsApp message when an invoice is published, helping customers receive the invoice information and payment link faster.

Payment received

Sends a confirmation message after a payment is recorded, so customers get immediate acknowledgement and can review the remaining balance if any.

Payment overdue reminders

Sends reminder messages for overdue invoices.
This event follows the reminder schedule configured under:

Settings -> Invoice -> Payment reminders

Troubleshooting tips

If setup does not complete on the first attempt, these checks usually solve it quickly:

  • Invalid Secret Key: copy the Secret Key again from Interakt Developer Settings and paste it without edits
  • Unauthorized response: confirm your Interakt account has access to Public APIs
  • Templates still pending: wait for Meta approval before verifying
  • Template mismatch: check the exact template name, category, language, and placeholders
  • Event enabled but no message sent: confirm the event shows ready and that the customer contact has a valid WhatsApp number

Final takeaway

Connecting WhatsApp Messaging with Interakt in RevenueGrowth360 is mostly about getting the sequence right:

connect Interakt, create the three templates correctly, verify them after approval, and then enable the events you need.

Once that is done, RevenueGrowth360 can automatically send invoice, payment, and reminder messages through your approved WhatsApp template flow.
